Naana’s Shadow is exactly the type of horse we were hoping to include when building the club. She is a young filly by Havana Grey, one of the most exciting young stallions in Europe whose progeny are already gaining a reputation for their speed and competitiveness.

Her dam, Beauty Pageant, is by Bahamian Bounty, a stallion known for producing high-class sprinters. That combination gives Naana’s Shadow a pedigree that strongly suggests pace and sharp racing ability – two traits that can be incredibly valuable as horses develop with experience.

What excites us most is the stage she is at in her career. Young horses can improve significantly once they begin racing regularly and strengthen physically, and she has had the right preparation heading into the season. With that foundation in place we expect to see her continue progressing as the campaign unfolds.

She is trained by Katie Scott, whose yard in the Scottish Borders has developed a reputation for nurturing young horses and placing them intelligently in races where they can be competitive.

Naana’s Shadow represents the progressive side of the club – a horse with clear potential and the opportunity to develop into an exciting performer over the course of the season.
